The East London Radio scene is going through a bit of a boom isn’t it?! There’s more and more internet stations springing out from this little patch of cockneys everyday…
Here’s just a few that have been garnering lots of hype over the webs:
The newest of the lot is Shoreditch’s Strongroom Alive which is going to be around for roughly 28 days or so according to their bluuuurb. The Strongroom Studios has recruited a shed load of trendies to get involved in the broadcasts… There are daily radio shows hosted by Vice, Dazed & Confused and Clash magazines, record labels Ninja Tune, BBE and Moshi Moshi.
If you live in London you can tune in on 87.9FM or you can follow everything over on Strongroom.FM They’ve also been recording a lot of their content over on Mixcloud to enjoy at your leisure…
One to dig into right now is the particularly beardy Moshi Moshi’s first broadcast from Yesterday:
Next up is the very cooly branded NTS Radio team who are Dalston through and through… Every month they use photos from an upcoming photographer as their website backgrounds and it all just looks so damn cool!

Another eastern team doing the business are the London Fields Radio crew coming straight out of The Wilton Way Café in Hackney.
