Seriously loving this new ‘Da Beach Bum’ EP from Till Von Sein out on his crew’s SUOL Records in January. Its a 3 tracker started by ‘Abaco’… A pumping bass line works its way through the speakers combining with synth stabs and percussive pieces to end up with a big powerful suspense inducing number.
When it comes to deciding a favourite from the EP though I can’t quite decide between ‘Don’t You Eva’ and final cut ‘Tilly’s Jam’.
‘Don’t You Eva’ features fellow SUOL-ian Meggy with her comforting vocals sitting on top of an equally huge bassline structure… its a definite grower for sure and you’ll be listening to this again and again. Will be equally perfect for when you’re absolutely shattered or when you’re getting started on a bit of a big one with mates. Finally, topping off this great set, is ‘Tilly’s Jam’ that is as simple, deeeeeep and beautiful as it gets. Ticking beats and hi hats sit unassumingly on top of synth chimes and low key pulses creating a soothing and relaxing soundscape to finish up the most epic of weekends and a sure fire soundtrack to any Beach Bum.
