SlothBoogie & Friends w/ Dom Chung (Future Disco)

Back with another ‘Friends’ session down Bar 90 this Saturday with Future Disco resident Dom Chung.

Resident DJ for incredible compilation series of the same name and hot off the back of the release ‘Poolside Sounds’ Volume IV (Compulsory listening btw..) Dom’s bringing sunshine & some serious vibes to the wick.

Good job as one sloth in-particular is still finding mud in places he shouldn’t be after Secret Garden Party…

Vibes & dancing in one of the most special venues in London, yeah go on then.

Rose Royce – Wishing On A Star (Marcus Harris Edit)

When mr Harris sent this through to me yesterday my initial thought was one of horror. I could totally imagine this being an awful dislocation, or dragging, into a dance floor pastiche. Upon hearing it, I was very pleasantly surprised, this delicately touched, warmed up & washed out edit has helped me into my Friday morning nicely. Top work & well worth hitting that free download button for & spreading the love.

I’m loving that piano

Good Block pres. Cosmic Slop

Friends of the show & all round good eggs Good Block are having another party down the Yard Theatre in Hackney Wick, next friday June 26th. Since your SB team will be hibernating for that particular weekend we suggest you peek your little heads in.

The Good Block DJ’s will be joined by headliners Cosmic Slop on the night. Born in 2010 the Cosmic Slop parties raise money for arts and education charity MAP which supports young people back into mainstream education. Parties take place at the charity’s gallery space with their own custom built sound system (to quote Floating Points “the greatest sound system in the world”). Alongside Tom and Mike, the Slop faithful have been treated to hugely eclectic sets by Floating Points, Four Tet, Alex Nut, Love On The Run, Jon K and Kelvin Brown as well as running several parties at the much missed Plastic People in London.

So if that sounds like a good plan then hit up the facebook event and let ’em know your going.
