Recloose – Honey Rocks EP

Recloose, Honey Rocks

Recloose is back with an absolute belter of an EP on AUS Music. Matthew Chicoine has been laying low over the last couple of years and this will mark his first release since It’s Too Late and mega anthem Don’t Get Me Wrong.

The title track Honey Rocks is a classy joint, smothered in luscious stabs and underpinned with the warmest of basslines; it’s easy to see why it’s already amassed 150k plays. Sidewalks is premium warm up material and teases with a level of restraint, held together with Recloose’s signature groove. Each track on the EP has been engineered to perfection and you can really tell Chicoine is a man of meticulous quality.

You can snag a copy of the package today from most major record stores.

Audion – Destroyer

Emerging from Detroit’s vibrant DIY underground scene, Matthew Dear’s Audion project has been feeding off the energy reverberating from dancefloors across the UK and Europe, but with a sound and spirit that is uniquely his own. Described as “techno in its purest sense”, Audion now returns with his first album in a decade that embodies this ethos.

Forthcoming on !K7, Alpha is a collective body of work that was brought to life by Audion in a mere matter of weeks, coming at a defining moment in the artist’s life. The mind bending “Destroyer” stands out in its warped, cyclical grandeur. Its distorted synth and tenacious bass provides listeners with the full bodied dancefloor flavour they have so eagerly anticipated. A highlight moment of Alpha – which stands as a visceral ode to the vibrancy of our global dance culture.

No sleep until Alpha drops. Catch it on 10 June.
