Leonard Cohen – The Partisan

Wonderful Melancholy and moving. Autumn. This is cover of a track by Emmanuel D’Astier de la Vigerie written in 1943 about being a partisan in WWII. Re-discovered after watching Hunt for the Wilderpeople and did some digging to find the interesting history of the track. Check out the original!

Wildcookie – Serious Drug

This one is a salsa haze. Gentle looping piano with a beautiful vocal. It packs a serious message though! Don’t do drugs kids!

Air – Sister Bessie

One of those records that has been in the wantlist list forever but out of reach due to the large price tag. Recently re-released on Be With Records it is now out there for everyone to share and enjoy. Sister Bessie is a favourite Sunday track – it also works on a cold autumn evening too.
