Crack the case of ‘The White Russian’ film starring Jeff Bridges

2

We all love The Dude from The Big Lebowski here at SB and his carefree nature has inspired us in so many ways. His drink of choice was of course The White Russian which was a mix of Kahlua, vodka and cream/milk. With that in mind the team at Kahlua have teamed up with Jeff Bridges, who played The Dude originally, for a new project.

This year the coffee flavoured liqueur brand marks the return of the White Russian with a short film honouring the classic cocktail.

As with every great film, there’s a great mystery. And Kahlúa is now offering you the chance to win the ultimate White Russian prize by answering cinema’s age-old question: what’s in the case?

“The White Russian” short film was directed by Ivan Zacharias and is an intriguing story about the unlikely meeting of two men from different worlds, as told by a man reminiscing about his past adventures. That man is none other than film legend Jeff Bridges. With a few surprise characters and plot twists, present-day Bridges narrates the unusual adventure all while sipping a White Russian cocktail at a bar.

Our friend’s at FOUND are having a mighty throw down this Saturday with not one but two pimpin’ parties planned to see off that splendid Summer we’ve all witnessed. What’s more is that they are kindly giving away 2x tickets to both the day and night party to one of our lucky followers!

FOUND008_fbsquare1_final

The day party will grace a secret city street somewhere in the confines of Shoreditch and will feature Mr. Kevin Saunderson, the man responsible for Techno and Inner City (no need to say more on this legendary figurehead of dance music). Naturally, FOUND don’t do things in half measures so to level the playing field a little, they have enlisted arguably THE man behind House Music’s rise to the vanguard of popular culture, Mr. Frankie Knuckles. Frankie Knuckles has pioneered house in all its multiple facets since day dot and it is both a privilege and a rarity to find hear him play in our humble capital… For more information and tickets, click HERE.

If by now, you are feeling a little excited by the prospect of seeing these two heavyweights play a street party in East London, then you may be dumbfounded to read that come sunset, FOUND are carrying on the fun and shenanigans at a Warehouse Party until the early hours of Sunday morning. For the after party, it’s evident they have cut no corners in curating a line up of epic, forward thinking proportions… First off, they have Dyed Soundorom, 1/3 of the too hot to trot Appolonia collective and a fantastic DJ with the ability to whip a crowd into a certified frenzy with his groove laden house. Having heard the man play on a couple of occasions, I can assure you he is dope. Also on the bill for the night time work out is South London Ordnance who has been making some serious waves of late with killer releases on the likes of Madtech, 2nd Drop and most recently Hotflush… Rounding off the line up is the Mekanism who’s EP on Needwant was heard on dancefloors throughout the Summer and who also holds a residency at Paris’ most revered institution the Social Club. With support coming from Sion, Cropper, Schumen and Rollo. For more information and tickets, click HERE.

To win 2x free entry to both the day and night party, simply drop a comment in the box below telling us what the best thing you have ever FOUND is…Winner’s will be contacted by Friday midday at the latest, good luck! x
