The Quiet Life – Summer 2015 Lookbook

The LA based street brand has unveiled its new summer additions in this new “Painted Walls” lookbook. It was shot just outside of LA in Vernon, California by Katrina Dickson and compliments the collection perfectly. Lots of pastels, summer associations like the clouds and floral elements are present as well as some other great little touches that keep QL as cool a brand as ever.

Head over to the old school Quiet Life Webshop to grab these summer essentials now.

Heresy – Forming – Winter 2014 Collection

Heresy is the menswear project of Dominic Owen and Jasper Dunk who met during illustration degrees and set up their brand as a way of making tangible and creative products from their interests. Forming has drawing at its core, stripped back with modest,
muted colours laid onto strong silhouettes. You’ll be able to find contemporary graphic printed tees. Loop-back sweatshirts with enamelled badge detailing, and super- soft brushed cotton collarless shirts that claim menswear over streetwear.

We especially like their accessories, from their Watch Cap beanies whose shape nods to the tradesman, canvas drawstring backpacks inspired by the high- streets of south London, and simple short-peak 6 panel baseball caps in wool and cotton.

Heresy’s design elements use clean, modern typography with grotesque accents. Designs continue to play with the theme of religion – borrowing, altering and poking at holy iconography and ideas. The intent is wearability, with drawing over branding, and fabrics and print that look better with age, making each piece more distinct over time.

The collection will be available from October.
