Hollie Cook – Looking For Real Love (Medlar Disco Remix)

We got another hot premiere on our hands…

One of WOLF Music’s finest, Medlar, takes Hollie into Philly disco territory, featuring sax by Pete Ishmael.

Over the past three years Medlar has slowly but surely been putting together pieces of his own puzzle of a musical career and gaining fans and attention from all the right people. His raw and emotive take on production has laid solid foundations with tracks such as Terrel, gaining recognition and support from tastemakers including Floating Points and DJ Nature to name a few.

The package also includes ‘Medlars Love Dub’, during which he flips the mix into dubby reggae disco.

Stream both reinterpretations below and grab the full tracks on Monday 27th April via Mr Bongo.

Greymatter – ‘Visions’ LP

3

The WOLF house machine is getting ready to grind out another LP from its stable of artists. After last year’s Medlar – Sleep LP its now the turn of Greymatter to get the full length treatment. The 12 tracker was unveiled on THUMP this morning alongside a little interview and its a great trip through Greymatter’s synthy house and electronic vibes that will go down a treat once the sun is shining this summer.

Grab the LP from Juno on the 12th May.

We’ll also be getting our hands on some signed promo copies from the man himself so leave an amusing comment below if you fancy one and we’ll pick a winner. We’ve been told that Matt from Wolf will be putting in some signed sexy press shots for the mothers out there too.

In Session Mixmag Mix – Medlar

Definitely worth the download for a commute is Medlar’s new In Session mix for the team at Mixmag. A lovely funk heavy journey through some dusty vinyl topped off with some slightly heavier bangers at the end.

Grab all 2 hours of it below.

James Fox – Holding On (Medlar Remix)

Sneaking in some sunny happy good time vibes before it all gets a bit musically cold and gloomy is James Fox’s new Holding On track on Needwant. Coming in 2 versions, a more pumping NYC mix and a sexier laidback Slow Jam mix, its hopefully going to get a lot of ears happy out there. If that wasn’t enough though then Medlar’s two version should also cause a lot of aural pleasure as he does what he does best and gives it a tougher house edge. All coming on the 9th December.
Pre-order on the Needwant webshop.
Catch James Fox and friends Behling & Simpson at Basing House on 17th January.
