The Razor N Tape crew are on a definite hot streak right now with all their booties hitting the shelves in time for Summer. We’ve been playing pretty much all their output of late with no signs of slowing down! Our faves have been Fatnotronic’s beautiful Brazilian influenced album Onde Anda, Arsenii’s super soulful and jazzy edits and finally their latest pack comes from Misiu with a load of boogie stompers!
Needing very little introduction here is soulful Scotsman Al Kent, who delivers the dirty goods for his first outing on edits label extraordinaire Razor N Tape. Good Inside and 4006 are a pair of dusty reworks, as gritty and groovy as you like. But the prize of this EP might just be Come Back Home, the crown jewel of his decade-earlier Secret Sounds collection, finally getting a proper vinyl outing for the first time ever!
Rose Records co-founder Martin Hayes makes his solo debut on Razor-N-Tape with 4 tracks of down-n-dirty disco and soul! Having previously collaborated on a more production-centered EP on RNT Reserve, Hayes shows us his penchant for digging and slicing up the dustiest of grooves.
We’ve been blasting out those Tom of Finland edits since they dropped on Razor-N-Tape last month… they’re the perfect blend of boogie fire for Summer nights and prime party starters!
Get stuck into some more heat from the mysterious Scandinavian import in this tasty podcast for the same label crew.
If you’ve not had a chance to grab the wax then head to Juno and do what’s good for you!
