Daniel Bortz – Heal The World EP (Suol037) 0

So there’s another SUOL release about town which basicly means we have to cover it because we love ALL their output! Another turn for Daniel Bortz on this German tune factory as he supplies us with lovely, lazy, chuggy and laidback beats. I’ve listened to this EP so many times now and another top notch demonstration of Bortz’s worthiness of the hype that surround him.
Pretty impossible to pick a favourite on this 4 tracker…

SlothBoogie Guestmix #022 – Till Von Sein 1

The next guestmix couldn’t have been much better suited to my current broken status… After partying way too hard over the weekend and becoming a little too familiar to the porcelain throne… it comes as an absolute god send!

We’ve been following Till Von Sein and his SUOL crew over the past few years and they have been keeping us extremely busy trying to write about their sonic movements.
Till Von Sein’s debut album #LTD dropped on SUOL at the end of October last year to lots of love all around the interwebs. The main single Non Existent Love is such an amazing track that it has been a regular in our sets ever since we got our hands on it!

What we love most about Tilly’s jams are the way in which he just jumps around from genre to genre and somehow manages to blend his impeccable music taste together into lovely mixes.
Here’s to you Tilly!

Suol Mates 01 0

A nice collection of tracks from one of my favourite labels, The SUOL Mates 01 is a collection of tunes from some of the closest SUOL crew members…

01: SUOL’s parents Chopstick & Johnjon take the first shot with “Obviously She’s A Dub”. A slow piano groover featuring beautiful vocals … add some sun and an outside location and you got the full meal deal.
02: Daniel Bortz delivers “Don’t Be Fooled”. A unique fusion of hiphop and house, as he is becoming known for. Low pitched rap vox and a monster bassline make this one the perfect crossover tune. Love it and never leave it!
03: The first collab of the project sees Fritz Zander & Johnjon with “Another Night In Rented Rooms”. A deep melodic number that helps you close your eyes and remember the good times…
04: Fritz Zander & Chopstick are our second new combo, bringing you a slow disco influenced groover with the promising title “How The Fuck Did I Get Home”. Perfect for all occasions … warmup/ maintime/ afterhour!? Just do it!
As if that collection isn’t enough, the exclusive original version of 01. is also here, just for you. “Obviously She’s A Whore” gives you a sneak peek of what Chopstick & Johnjon are all about when they’re not thinking clearly… pop music. We love it…

Trickski – Unreality 1

I properly fell in love with Trickski’s stuff when I heard their Pill Collins track last year… It was a slow burner the type of which i’d never really heard before.
Now with just over 22000 plays on Pill Collins Yannick Labbé and Daniel Becker will be releasing their debut album Unreality on June 17th with their long term label SUOL.
The album is pretty hard to pigeon hole which is a good thing. What I will say is that it’s got the same direction of a slower type of house taking in lots of crackling soulful influences that is madly hypnotic. Also on the album you’ll be able to find label mate and golden voice possessor Fritz Kalkbrenner along with Swedish vocalist Ernesto and Irfane Khan-Acito from Paris.
Listen to Pill Collins and Wilderness below and make sure you follow everything SUOL puts out!
