Mount Kimbie – You Took Your Time (Kyle Hall Remix)

There’s no doubt that Mount Kimbie’s “Cold Spring Fault Less Youth” elevated the London duo to the vanguard of forward forward thinking electronica with the mighty Warp Records acting as their creative umbrella. The album was, in my opinion, a triumph and saw Dom and Kai enlist the services of King Krule on guest vocals for the tracks “You Took Your Time” and “Meter, Paler, Tone”. Well it would seem that “CSFLY” will benefit from a remix EP out next October with none other than DJ Koze, Kyle Hall, Lee Gamble, Oneman and Jeremiah Jae (from JJ Doom fame) all lending their deft touch at remixing select tracks from the LP.

Earlier today, Warp unveiled Kyle Hall’s offering to the highly anticipated remix EP. Kyle Hall turns You Took Your Time into a detroit infused crunchy house number where a rugged house rhythm rides aloft emotive melodies.
